Hello

a stage 2.0 or 2.1 setup stands a good chance of passing CARB to be honest as the rules state you must not move cat position from the original
so keep the stock manifold and overpipe and it should sail through

Assuming the graphs in degrees celcius then your ambient temp looks about 16-17C

You should be running about 12-15C above ambient on track so 28-32C would be about right.

Have you got anything infront of the cosworth radiator?

Apologies, I had a brief look on my phone. After looking more closely it looks like you have been cruising.

Those temps are a bit high for that. I see about 5-10C above ambient on the street.

After having a chat with an Engineer friend yesterday, he pointed out that the thermal conductivity of water is higher than that of Ethylene glycol. I used about 60% ethylene gycol in mine, so looking to reduce it to 25% and see if it has a positive effect on IATs.....

Isn't the mixture supposed to be 75% water, 25% ethylene glycol/ coolant?

Yes. 25% concentration gives freeze protection down to 10F so I decided to go to about 50% for those visits to the Scottish highlands in the middle of winter that will never happen.

It not like IATs are high though. Half the temp rise of that of competing SC kits.

Has anyone considered running UEL headers with the Cosworth kit? I've been thinking it over the last few days. Some UEL headers and a custom dyno tune would be kinda cool.

I've thought about this too. The JDL UEL sounds sweet but I'd need to think of a way to queiten it all down. Not giving up the cat back as i like the sound too much so id have to get a frontpipe made with some very large silencers.

JDL would the the header I'd get, too. I already have a quiet catback (Q300), so noise wouldn't be too much of an issue. I wish Nameless Performance made an UEL header.
