The only thing I know thats 2% is milk lol. Everything costs points now a days. I think it's a lot more than 2%.

I think the BTC value yesterday when I checked was 438. Shop wants $500 in cash for 1 BTC. If you paid via paypal for the BTC its $550

BTC isn't cheap. And yeah it def varies wildly, a lot more wild than gold which is hard to believe.

I used to buy my BTC from Coinbase if I wasn't mining it myself. Fairly reasonable transaction fees.

Not to sound condescending, but don't you think if I could of placed an order with a CC or paypal, I would of done it? LOL.

I am specifically asking for BTC help.

And I realize what type of payment it is. There are not "refunds", and it's like mailing someone cash, except - it isn't. I have a transaction record. It doesn't mean the company COULDN'T screw me over, but I doubt it.

It's no big deal, if I can't get people to reply with helpful info for the questions I need answered, then I'll just go buy the 1 BTC at $480 and go from there.

It's not important what I am trying to buy, nor is it important what other methods of payment they accept. I can assure you they do not take CC's and paypal anymore.

Why is BC the only way you can buy it? They don't take credit cards, you buying yellowcake uranium from the Ukrainian Mafia?

I wouldn't touch that bitcoin silliness, ponzi scheme if there ever was one.

Nah bitcoin in itself is fairly secure (had a 2 month talk with a buddy of mine who did his master's in cryptography and their thesis on bitcoins). The problem seems to stem from the lack of policies to regulate their interaction and what bitcoin wallets can do (can't remember the name of the one that disappeared 2 years ago, one day it's there, the next it's gone and all it's bitcoin holdings gone too).

They would need a regulatory power to oversee everything for the exchanges, etc. to be completely secure but that in itself would contradict the reason/purpose of bitcoin's existence.

You caught me, it's a two horned unicorn!

Or, it's war memorabilia from a specific place. Like I said, I've bought from this place before, and maybe something happened to the guy that runs it being ripped off before. The guy doesn't take credit cards or PayPal... and who buys dope and ruskie chicks off the internet? If that's the first thing you think of when people talk grey market stuff, that just means that's what you would buy, not me.

BTC is only good for buying drugs and blood diamonds. Which are you after?

Make sure you keep your BTC instead of letting some firm "bank" them. So many cases of these ventures going up with millions of peoples BTC disappearing.

Really the only reason anyone uses cryptocurrency is to buy "illegal"things ... which is perfectly fine. I'd shop around as long as you can and watch the rates from the bigger "retailers" to get a feel for what is a good deal. If you have to have it today then you google around for 30 minutes and take whatever is cheapest.

DUDE - if you would of told me about the $10 referral for both of us, I would of used your info!

I ended up buying 1.15 of bitcoin, but the WW2 helmet and knife I wanted are sold, and I didn't do it the "instant" BTC purchase way with more fees via credit card, I did the bank account purchase. So now I am going to sit on the BC and see if this guy comes up with any other WW2 stuff or just turn it back to cash.

Eh.. that's why I like living 30 minutes from Gettysburg, PA. If I want cool war relics (which I've even found things with my own detector) I can just take a short drive. When I want WW2 German, Italian, and Japanese stuff, it's sometimes hard to authenticate and I've had one thing seized from customs since the company lied about what it was to pay less in tariff.

IF ANYONE wants a free $10 from signing up (and making a $100.00 currency reserve) click this link:
https://www.coinbase.com/join/570d863dbb2ebc00720004eb

You get $10 free, and I get $10.
