I hit a girl while riding the bus in middle school. Maybe it was grade school. She kept hitting me in the back of the head with her purse and proudly proclaiming to her friend "I clocked him in the head."
Finally, I turned around and slapped her good. She ran up to tell Mrs. K. but she only ended up in more trouble because Mrs. K. watched the whole thing go down in her big mirror.

To this day I just wish she never messed with me in the first place.

This kind of stupidity when it comes to math isn't new. When my son (who turned 34 yesterday) was in 2nd (?) grade, his teacher told us that he had been marked down because he didn't know that, and I quote, "Zero is the null set." I'm certain that everyone on this forum knows that the null set contains NOTHING, not even the number zero. I just about exploded there. I didn't call her a stupid cow, but I came close. That was in 1989, I think.

Stupidity has been around forever and we haven't yet developed either a vaccine or a cure...
