dm6 wideband and injector question

I'm going to sound dumb asking this but i don't care. I'm still in the learning phase of things and trying to get a list of everything I'll need to purchase to FI my car.

Question: I'm on FT86 speedfactory looking at the add ons and I don't know if I should add a dm6 wideband because I don't know what it is and can't find anything on it. I also don't know if I should get the 1000cc injectors if my goal is 300whp with a custom 8 - 11 psi tune on 93 oct if possible. I need someone to share there knowledge with me.

My mind is set on the FBM base kit GT2871R.

Also would black coating trap heat or is it like a ceramic black?

For 300hp you shouldn't need 1000cc but probably their lowest upgrade. If you think you nugget want more power later just get the 1000cc so you don't have to upgrade later. I think I just saw someone in classifieds selling some, might be worth a look. Dunno about black coating. Call ft86 and ask I guess

The black coating of non thermal paint wouldnt do much if anything at all. Any kind of black coating would be ceramic.

The specific dm6 wideband may be light on info, but basically it allows you to monitor your AFR lambda very closely to see if you get any lean spikes, running too rich, inconsitiancies and what not. Generally seen as a DD support item.

You don't even need injectors at that power level on pump gas.

I'm partial to Innovate over PLX. Take a look at the Innovate SGC-1. It's a boost controller and gauge, and wideband gauge all in one. A friend here locally runs one in his FR-S.

If we all did that, we'd all have whoever has the highest profit margin.
