Had a guy and girl fly up beside me in a parking lot, asked when I got it, gave me major props for having a sweet car.
Minutes later at a red light, I pulled up beside a G37, didn't pay it a bit of attention, but when the light turned green he smoked me off the line. Pretty sure looking back he wanted to race me, and he won, partly because his car is faster but mostly because I was unaware I was supposed to be racing him (trying instead to improve the 21 mpg I'm currently getting). |

While waiting at a light, I saw a new SLS Mercedes (gullwing!) approach from the side street and turn onto the road I was on. He stared my car down the entire time until he passed. (he was likely in his 70s). Ok, I was staring at his car too.
Strangely, I have yet to see another BRZ or FRS on the road! Was sitting at a shopping center parking lot this evening - had no less than 5 cars drive across parking lanes to drive around my car. (they crossed the parking lot and did a 360 around my car before driving off) I notice I get looks from: Scion drivers, 350/370Z/G35, Evo and WRX, Porsche, and Z3/4 drivers. Corvette drivers usually don't turn to look. Aston Martins - haven't been able to see the driver due to window tint and windshield angle reflection. I've passed (opposite direction) 3 different AM in this past week, a silver one a few times now. Maybe I'll go drive on Sunday to Westlake or Malibu and hunt Ferraris.

I still continue to get looks and compliments on my car, I'm actually glad it's in limited production.

A LOT of looks from people driving next to me. So far I've had one guy pull up and ask me about it and talk about it (he had obviously been following the production), one guy talked to me at a red light and asked me how I liked it because he was thinking of getting one, and my favorite is two Porsche Turbo drivers have been VERY complimentary of it. Nice to see drivers of a great car appreciating another great driver's car, even though it is FAR cheaper.

This is surprisingly not the same for STI owners. They seem more respectful and mature. Wow I just said that about an owner of a car with a humongous spoiler...

Had a young WRX owner and his girlfriend wanting to race me down the I-5 a few nights ago. They went back and forth, lane to lane, tailgating behind me several times, and then pulling up alongside me, daring me to race...I just ignored them and hoped they didn't cause an accident.
Have also twice had cars drive up to my parked car, the occupants jump out and start snapping pictures, like Papparazzi. Last night, in the Pep Boys parking lot, I heard a car pull in with its windows down and a guy shouted "what is that?". Then he and his buddy jumped out of the car, walked halfway across the parking lot, and circled around my car on foot just as I was pulling out of my parking space. Good thing I didn't run them over...

Today, driving north on Florida's Turnpike, a guy tailgated me, followed me side by side accelerating/braking, trying to race me... His ride?? A Nissan TITAN, Quad cab, with litmus (changes to all colors with sun) type of paint. I didn't know if I should laugh or be scared...
I'n Miami the car is nothing special, I get looks very far and between, people here are used to watching Ferrari's, Lambo's etc... But even with all that I've gotten quite a few heads turned and jaws dropped in 5 days. |

went to pass a Jeep SUV today and look over to see the passenger with his camera poised to snap a photo as I passed (on right as I was getting off exit)...they just could stop looking at it...thought they were going to run into somebody!

Yes! Thanks Exhaust! It took a week but finally somebody seemed to appreciate that post up there. I actually thought it was one of my finest.
