I wish i would've gotten it dyno'd but i just don't have the money at the moment. But i must say it's awesome. It really pulls. I come from a 1996 bmw Z3 inline 4 that was heavier than my brz and only had 138hp brand new. So putting headers and a tune on this i can really tell the difference, it actually feels quick. Torque dip (i would imagine) is pretty non existent but the pull up from 5000 rpm to redline makes me smile.

That's pretty awesome, the one issues that's wrong with these headers has probably been improved, which is the merge collector, I suspect it now flows much better than the borla

Without proof of a better collector, I don't believe it.

Either way, V1 or 2, you're still getting a great deal with it. On top of that, even if it's only 75% of the gains you'd get with a "better" header, it's still 25-50% the price of those "better" headers. Value makes sense.

FWIW, my header has been through a winter now, and apart from surface corrosion, it's not cracked or looking like it's failing yet. I should have gotten it coated, but maybe when it cracks (which should be imminent according to some on here) and I replace it with another CNT header, I'll coat it

That makes sense, the one issue with the video is that they literally didn't show the inside of the header collector area.

Heres the V1 vs V2:

The only difference I can see is the collector area on the V2 seems more "pronounced"

I mean, in all honesty, I might just get the V2 for shits and giggles in a month or so and get it coated. At that price, who cares?

Not expecting any increase in performance, but the increase in longevity may be worth it alone.

Totally, it's the same if not better quality than the borla at half the price.

People can bitch and moan about how this is "bad quality" and "you get what you pay for". I'll take my chances since it's so damn cheap. I'm also considering getting it coated.

And I remember seeing some overlays of dyno graphs with borla's and all the high end ones and the borla actually had the best gains

Yea and if the first one craps out 2 years down the road, just buy another both together WOULD STILL COST LESS than most headers!

@Cole I'm not sure how much ceramic coating costs but I'm pretty sure, buying this header + coating would probably last longer than the competitors still and still be half the price

Edit: Contacted a Local place it's between $100-$150 to get the header coated, $150-$200 if I want the flanges to be honed perfectly flat and the ceramic coating

It's not recommended to reuse them but you can in my case the car is super good condition and low mileage so it doesn't really need new ones yet, the ones the headercomes with are kinda of crappy, I recommend buying a grimmspeed set, in fact I have a set for when I install it.
