And folks, it's been this way for a long time. I was a teenager in the 80s. Every Friday and Saturday night an army of mullet-heads hit the strip in their shitty Mustangs trying to race anyone and everyone. When I was in teevee news in the 90s, a disproportionate share of the fatal accidents I covered involved Mustang drivers doing stupid shit. One guy back in Tallahassee actually ended up with his Mustang on its side, where he had rolled it onto his own head.
Looks like we have all encountered Mustang drivers doing stupid s###. Last encounter was a GT at a double left hand turn. Thank God I was in the outside lane. He lost control of the rear on exit, almost hit a light pole and then fish tailed across my lane.

Guy on my block was stuck in snow. Shoveling around the front wheels even though the rears were spinning.

UMMMM ya. Need to shovel around all wheels not just the ones that are spinning. Just clearing the rear means nothing if the front are against a pile.

Yup, I've seen stuff like that. Anyways, the twins look so much better than the Mustangs. And there are many other reasons why I got a BRZ instead of a mustang, but the handling in the BRZ was one of them.

Mustangs pfffff where I grew up we had Cossies.

I had a discussion (read as arguing with a hard headed mustang enthusiast) about whether the mustang was a sports car or not. He said 3500 lbs is the new norm since a bunch of porches weigh over 3000 lbs now and that the mustang GT handles well and has lap times that are better than most sports cars..

I was like ok bro... You do you and defend your mustang purchase. Who cares if it's a sports car or not. The GT spanks tons of cars, and that's all that should matter. Just don't call it a sports car

I can respect mustangs. I like them Alot but a majority of owners are just idiots. You have to do Alot to a Mustang to make it stand out and look good. Some of my friends are have one that always feel like their cars can't get legit respect at a meet because the whole stigma of owning a Mustang and because of the idiots that make them look bad.

I think probably a lot of mustang owners are just like us. They like driving. Probably easier to make big mistakes with a lot of power.

For sure. Wasn't trying to be condescending towards mustangs. It was just something else in the price range that I considered, but it just wasn't for me. I fell in love with the twins the first time I set my eyes on one driving down the road in Chicago. I wonder if it was one of us from the forum?

Here's another one: [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-UrzMalKuI4"]2015 Subaru BRZ – Paparazzi | Subaru Canada - YouTube[/ame]

Not sure if either of them are official commercials endorsed by Subaru or not, though.

No. They like noisy straight-line power in a flashy package.

If they liked driving, they would buy a driver's car. Even for those who track them, buying a noisy straight line car and spending tens of thousands to keep it from rolling over on a turn (or buying one already set up that way) doesn't give them a driver's car.

Here's what that looks like vs. a real driver's car in the hands of a real driver:

I was. Mustangs attract a disproportionate share of stupid.
