With oft disconnected from car, remove battery terminal , press brake pedal, reconnect battery terminal. Reconnect of and try again

@choiboie: Did you fully turn the ignition to the ON position and not just ACC mode?

i realized i only disconnected the battery for like 30 seconds. i'm going to try and leave it off for like 5 mins or more than try again and i'll report crossing my fingers!!!

Is it possible car has a previous BRZEdit or Ecutek tune ? as both those systems lock ecu.


but you should be able to read diagnostics or ecu info, the lock should only effect read/write of a tune file.


if it wont read diagnostic or ecu info then might be problem with obd port, check if any pins pushed back in obd socket in car.


if you have another obd device like android torque or obd reader does that work ?
