Interesting article! I'm thinking about going force induction so this only reinforces me getting one this Summer.

Great article to read! It does make me curious about the development progress of Stage 3 as they mentioned it. Also, was there a sneak peek of the new pulley? The one on that kit looked different.

I´m really looking forward to the Stage 3 kit and see the price and how it will work. I don't even own a BRZ/GT86 but very interested in getting one just for the Cosworth kit

Is other kits as reliable you think? I guess Cosworth has a higher price tag.

So for some reason I thought Cosworth's kit was CARB legal but after looking online I haven't found anything. So this kit is NOT CARB legal then right? Unless I'm missing some fine print somewhere?

Does the UK have strict CARB-like laws there, too?

I'm not sure what CARB approval entails but here in the UK all you need to do is pass emissions each year when the car has its MOT (a general safety and emissions check all cars have to do). You can pass the MOT here with just one high flow CAT if the mot tester is nice enough to let it warm up.

Ah ok. Sounds much like Texas, where I'm at. CARB, from what I hear, is pretty strict in that you have to have all the stock CATs and any modifications must be CARB approved. I.e. TRD intake, Edelbrock SC, ect. Headers and other exhaust bits are a no go unless they are catbacks.

The engine mapping for the SC kits is different too right?

Just to take the stock cats into consideration I believe.

So potentially the Cosworth 2.0 tune should be okay. Why don't Cossy USA sort it out I wonder. Must be a reason.
