Seeing the new 2017 makes me proud to own a 2014. I really dislike the front bumper and those little louvres. I do like the steering wheel the controls. They aren't needed but sometimes I wish we had them. The new round side emblems are nice also.

I wonder how difficult it would be to replace the old steering wheel with the new version. Also how much it would cost to purchase?

Would include the whole airbag assembly so won't be cheap. If looking for the HU controls I am not sure they would work on the 14 HU so you would need a 17 one of those as well.

LOL I'm just the opposite. The new exterior doesn't bother (nor excite) me but I can't stand the buttons on the steering wheel. The only buttons that should be on a steering wheel are horn buttons.

You'd need the wheel, the airbag, the clock spring, the associated wiring that connects to the clockspring that includes additional wires to go to the HU, then you'd need to pin that out to the HU somehow - your success there will depend on which HU you have...

Not entirely true. The mk4 was actually more of a sports car than a GT. The mk1-3 were more GTs than sports cars.
