I've also thought about getting a Ruckus, but I feel like I'd have more fun with a 125cc bike, and they're basically the same price.

Yeah, I've already had that covered.
Hopefully I won't have to worry about that though

Most of the stuff they teach you is how to avoid/look for people in cars not paying attention or just driving like douches.
You obviously can't control everything, but I feel fairly confident in recognizing/avoiding situations in my control.
