It's funny b/c I've probably only wore them once a week since I have other pairs to rock. Now the clear doesn't yellow easily like the OG's did but the tradeoff is that they now squeak!?! SMH Quote:
It's a good thing that I only managed to get 1 pair after waiting in line since 5:45am. After I opened up the box to examine it, I was surprised on how low grade the shoe, the box and the whole entire representation has become. The first thing I thought was, "man, this is what this generation thinks a pair of Jordans are supposed to be all about! Fugg that sucks!!" Just like movies now a days that use bad CG instead of real stunts and life like models. The leather felt fake and wasn't supple or tumbled, it was very, very stiff and the air sole wasn't the air as it was back in the days; no pillow like feel. The jumpman key chain looked weak and no more retro card. It now looks like the fakes that used to float around even though I bought it at Footaction with receipt on hand.

I don't mind the spizikes I actually think those were the only hybrid pair I liked. But I was disspointed with the nike id selection, way too limited. And just like you mention, I tell people to always check the shoes before you pay for them. Check the quality and check for any cosmetic issues and if you don't like them ask for another pair or just walk away. I usually do this unless I'm buying sneakers online. And I didn't know IV's could squeak, , so the only IV I'm looking forward is the bred colorway. Rondo pass on all the other IV's.

I might see if I can pick up the french blue XII's next Sat, skip the Olympic releases and pick up the bred IV's and XI's. Hopefully that'll be it!

And I can assume the X's will eventually begin making more sounds noticeable down the road, but I'm not going worry about it that much. Right now I'm wearing my III's and they don't really make any noise and I'm not sure but the leather in the III and X are similar, imo, so I don't believe they'll make too much noise. And that's understandable if you won't wear the only cement IV's you have unless you get another pair. I sort of do this, but I'll still wear all my sneaks. I only choose to wear the special ones, in my eyes, for certain occasions or to important parties. Just last weekend I wore the Space Jams for the 4th time since I've had them for 3 years now. I kinda of regret it though since I wore them all day and now I can see a lot more yellowing in the bottom. ![]() Also sometimes its hard to break away from the shoe game, but somehow these damn companies keep reeling me back in.

I know the the retro metallic V's have a different material compared to the OG's and it was something I noticed off the bat. Maybe it's a cheaper material b/c they don't breathe well. I even wore them once during a league game and they felt like I was wearing construction boots compared to my Kobe VI's I never like how the Space Jams felt. They looked hella good but damn they never felt good on my feet.

My cool grey 11s are one of my most comfy shoes!
I'm going to try to get the VIs. I tried the twitter RSVP at my local Niketown and striked out somehow. Not looking forward waking up super early tomorrow. |

The VIs have actually been pretty good within the last couple years. The ones that came out in 2010 had similar leather to the Olympics in the pictures, so I'm expecting them to look pretty good! The leather on the VIs have way better than any other Jordan release that I've picked up at least within the last couple years, which are IIIs, IVs, Vs, Vis and VIIs.

Almost forgot, good luck to you guys trying to get the Olympic VII's.
![]() Oh and btw I traded my Olympic VI's away for these VII's, after finding out the midsole was different.

Do you have the 2000 release Olympic VIs? I don't really think it's going to be that hard to get the VIIs, since they came out with a very similar version 3 years ago.

Whatever though, I'm still in it for the Olympic pack that drops in August, but I just really want the Black VII's mostly.
