I have a question for you guys. This wasn't in the manual, but I can't remove the stock intake manifold because the driver side fuel rail is still hooked up. How do I release it? the manual says nothing about it.

you don't have to unbolt the hoses- there's two bolts on each side that hold the fuel injectors in, take those off and you should be ok to get it out.

Okay, it's in place, drove it around a bit today. So what's up with the hesitation? It's like it takes 2 seconds for some boost valve to decide to open up. Is this normal? I'll try to get a log up for you guys tonight.
The torque before boost is much worse than the 89 octane tune I made with OFT. Disregard, just being stupid. Car probably just needed to learn the tune some more. Here's a log of a second gear pull, then 3rd gear. http://www.datazap.me/u/riboyster/sp...ata=1-3-5-8-13

How practical is it to intercool before getting a 70mm pulley? I live in the tropics.

Have any idea how much temp is generated per lb of psi? Daily temps in winter range from upper 50s to upper 80s and summer is lower 70s to upper 90s

I have seen intake temp of 80 C working it really hard and that was at 32/33 C ambient and it's intercooled so if you live in the tropics an intercooler I think is a must.
I'm working very hard atm to try and bring intake temps down and looks like it might be working but early days yet .

Intercooler is better safe than sorry. Same with running a turbo or any forced induction. The more you compress the air, the hotter the air will get.

What's your idea? Tried a bigger flow water pump for the IC system?

What were you doing when this happened? I haven't had mine in super hot weather yet, but in 70's ambient (21c), with a canyon run, I got up to 85F intake (29c) and oil temp to 264F (128c yes, this is without an oil cooler-I've got one now though). x2, whatcha trying out? |
