It's pretty good stuff, I've used it on tools for years, and you've probably seen it or a product similar as it is used a lot for the "rubbery" handles on hand tools like pliers and such. It really forms more of a tight shell than an actual bond.

I would be concerned about doing this without taking it off the car and forming a full bond around the spokes, but since there isn't going to be a lot of lateral pull on it, it probably would be difficult to get it to come off without direct force.

While I'm not going to plasti-dip my wheels, this pretty much confirms my suspiction that Ultramarine needs dark (grey or black) wheels.

You just saved me a ton of $$$'s. I did not like the stock wheels at all as they came. But painted black they look great. I've already started looking around for a local spot that powder coats. I found one place that will powder coat my wheels for $250.00. That is pretty decent I guess, for a huge improvement.

They look even better in person. I get compliments on my wheels all the time.

Here is how they look after about 10 days. Very easy to keep clean.

looks like you did a good job painting. I kind of want to see the stock wheels with all the black stripped off.

I wonder why everyone hates the stock wheels...i think they look pretty nice compared to most other stocks O.o... i mean common we didn't have to pay extra for them.

Shawn's photos look great but Juan makes a good point. I wonder how the FRS would look with the factory wheels in silver. Perhaps it would brighten up the exterior and look sharp.
