DAR3D3VIL's 2015 DGM BRZ Daily Driver Overhaul (Updated 3/6/16 with new pics)
It's a good call. I'd checked up on PA laws and regs before I did this. The side markers are technically legal as a have an amber led in them, so I can fight it outright with that. The tails should be fine too, as I know people out here with smoked tails that are flying through inspections. I'm also in a non emissions county in PA, so my emissions tests only involve them plugging in an ODBII and checking for errors, no other tests involved.

I don't think it'll stop a cop in NY or PA for pulling you over for the tail's if you irritate them or if they have a bad day. As "any alteration of the factory tail lights is illegal"
It's only a fix it ticket, thankfully. Mine come in on monday! I have the same colour brz as you, so your a nice preview. |

DAR3D3VIL's 2015 DGM BRZ Daily Driver Overhaul (Updated 3/6/16 with new pics)
I'm keeping my stock lights anyways, so worse comes to worse I'll switch for that fix it and then switch back. As it goes my commute each day is 20 mins and about 12 miles on back roads. I think I've seen a cop maybe twice on those roads in the last year so we'll see.
One of my previous cars was a CR-Z and I ran that with blacked out film tinted tails for about 11 months without a problem when I lived out on Long Island, even took that thing into Queens, Brooklyn and Manhattan without a peep from NYPD. You are right though, doesn't stop anyone from having a bad day. As for the lights, the pics don't do them justice. The red bar is absolutely beautiful when lit up. You'll enjoy them when you get them for sure. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Time for some new shoes and everything wrapping together quite nicely. This will likely be the last exterior upgradethat I'll do for a long while as the car is pretty much where I want it at this point externally. I have the BERK hi-flow to install as soon as it arrives and that will also likely mark the end of the performance upgrades too. I'm VERY close to the end of my build now, just cosmetics left at this time for the most part. Long term I might look at going supercharged, and if I do it's definitely going to be the E-Force, however that would not be for several years at the very least as I don't drive the car for long enough on my commute to really benefit from it at this point.
So, to mark the occasion I clean her up real nice and took her for a little outing to one of the lakes in my community. I figured a few nice photos would be a great way to celebrate nearing the end of my build. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Just a quick update today, little interior changes here and there. Recoated the door handles as I wasn't happy with the original finish, also installed me @Moddiction shift knob. Loving the look and the weight. great quality product all around, might be a placebo thing but it felt like it was easier to gate some of the gears with the heavier shifter.

Figured I'd add this in as well, as I've not got a good video clip of the current setup. Finally turned off Launch Control when I updated my tune today.

Updates as of June 4th:
Added an ebay ducktail spoiler, had it color matched which obviously increased the cost, but still much cheaper than an official TRD. Overall very impressed with fitment, no issues mounting it in the end (took a couple of attempts though). ![]() ![]() ![]() Bonus: Extra video from my youtube channel, just playing around with a timelapse video of my journey home. The main reason why I got a BRZ out here in the mountains. [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MPn8MNLRYC4"]The Journey Home - YouTube[/ame]
