Excuse the poor quality 2004 camera phone pics. The turbo was when I took my NA Supra to the next level. I later swapped out the 2jzge engine for the 2jzgte. The aluminum turbo pipes, the valve covers, intake manifold and radiator pipe were all hand polished. Nothing amazing. No dremel or machines involved, just elbow grease.

Here are some pics showing the polishing I did on the stainless steel pipes on my Ducati. It was much more of a bitch, but when I look at all your quality work with the polishing I feel your pain, and understand the benefit too.

Ordered a couple parts today... should be here next week. Lots to install in the coming weeks!

- HKS EL exhaust manifold (catless)
- HKS dual resonated front pipe

I'm also installing my Mishimoto performance aluminum fan shroud. I'm almost done polishing it. I'll post pics soon.

I'm going to have one shiny engine bay!

Btw, I will have my red Mishimoto silicone hose available for sale soon... if anyone is interested just PM me. I used it for like 200 miles.

Are you going to thermal/ceramic coat your headers for heat reduction?

Thinking about it... since my 86 is not a daily driver I could probably get away with not doing it though. Can you recommend a shop that does ceramic coating? Cost and turn around time are the only obstacles I foresee if I decide on ceramic coating.

I honestly don't know of any shops.... My headers came coated when I bought them off someone.

But if you don't daily it, I'm sure it would be fine. Plus it would give you the option to polish them all pretty!

Another update... I'm now thinking of not painting the housing... we'll see what I decide...







Plan on painting this cap gloss black though.

I'm still polishing whenever I can during the week. I'm hoping to get to most of my installs by this weekend.

Received notification today that my Uras front lip shipped and is scheduled to arrive on 4Apr. My HKS EL exhaust manifold (catless) and HKS dual resonated front pipe are scheduled to arrive tomorrow.. shout out to Josh @Kami Speed for getting these out to me quickly. Still waiting on my Beatrush air intake duct. Pumped to get all these parts installed!

My 86 is very dusty and needs a bath... gotta get it on the ground first though.

This is where I'm at with the supercharger... hope to finish tomorrow... if I like the final results I'll stay with it... if I don't, I'll spray it gloss black and call it good. The supercharger bracket finish will either be polished or gloss black.

Looks better in person than in pics... finish has sort of a hyper black look to it because of the slight shadows created by the surface texture. The finish will reflect any black around it so that should help the effect.
