sorry to hear that. But, i dun think dealers have to be proactive to boost the sales coz there're thousands ppl already in the waiting queue for a 86. esp w white GTS (IMO...its the best and most popular color hey?)

try to get them to supply the tracking info. it is useful to make sure you have an ordered placed and your order is correct.

ring your dealer now and quiz them.. if i waited.. maybe i would have sat around till august before she ever told me and then blamed a delay or something..

I called her Monday and she said she'd get back to me on the 18th. I thought about calling her again this week many times but im sure an extra day isnt going to do any damage (i hope). Im hoping she tells me everything is good and that my car has been ordered.

Not to make you paranoid but it really shouldn't take a week to get an answer - what a useless saleswoman. Who knows maybe she was hoping that she could do a swap with another dealer and has realised it ain't that easy - kinda what happened with Surok.

Hi guys, sorry to hear about more mixups, pretty much everyone I know who preordered have had the misfortune of the production dates changing, that's not the dealer's fault and as a matter of fact it's totally out of the dealers control. Having said that, i told all my customers up front that although (this is prior to price release) we have ordered their cars on the day they put their money down, there was no guarantee as TMCA had not yet confirmed colours or availability but we would do our best to get what they wanted and hopefully stock swap what we needed.
Sadly, in the initial rush there haven't been enough cars available to enable stock swaps. The production will catch up eventually, it's just gonna hurt for a few months, remembering this car is a global success, it's lucky we're getting any at all. Yes, our market is that small. Now, if anyone needs/wants any help or would like to buy a car from me, I look forward to being of service to you. One thing is ironclad though - I will not guarantee something I can't deliver. I'd be very happy to share with you how we look after our customers and why they keep coming back to us. Pennant hills Toyota apologised to me profusely and felt my pain..
i was down there this morning and had a play in a White 86 GTS manual... what a fantastic car.. i have now got a proper build number and my car is going to happen before the end of the year. i am happy again and i could not ask any more of the dealership. ![]()
