Now that I've gotten a better look at it, I am definitely feeling positive about it.

I like the new headlights and the mostly red taillights. The "nose" i talka bout earlier is much better looking than the blue render. I like the toned down interior and the catfish face.

now the only thing it needs is a Yellow color options and we're set.

P.S. I'm seeing a lot of naysayers in this thread, but I have a feeling once the car's out, and the aftermarket has had it's way *cough Rocket Bunny*, All that negative talk will mostly dissipate.

If you're still not happy with the 86 or BRZ, which also has a facelift on the way, the good news is that a replacement is coming eventually. Fuji Heavy Industries P\president Yasuyuki Yoshinaga has confirmed twice that Subaru and Toyota have a deal to create a second generation model. They haven't set an introduction date, though.
This almost assures that the next gen will be a boxer. Who knows if it will stay NA or go full blown Subaru turbo.

I was hoping they'd include a low profile window mounted 3rd brake light.

Oh dear god, it won't stop...

When asked why the 86 isn't turbo, Tada said (NUMEROUS TIMES)

1.Turbos lag

2. Cost to make

3. Consumer price would be much higher

4. The car is meant to be a platform for the enthusiast not a powerful heavy hitter. If they want to modify they can or they can keep it stock.

DUDE! The alleged interview was supposedly with motoring.au and it was written in 2014. None of that is news but old bog bullshit. You can't cite blogs copying blogs as a source of anything and expect it to be accurate.

Shit source I know, BUT...

That's a pretty direct quote that has never been refuted. The source (blogger) said it was confirmed twice. That's not half bad at all. At least good enough to pass along. And really though, accuracy can only be confirmed after the product is on the lot and for sale.

The second article just quotes the first which came from motoring. It is just a circle of quotes without any substantiating statements any place else. The fact that it was not refuted does not make it any more reliable. They can say he confirmed it 100 times but when they are claiming he only said it to them in a "private interview" then there is no way to prove that.
I could make the statement that I spoke with him at length today in a blog and that would have as much authority as they do.

Except you have ultimate authority. Pretty sure I'd you decided it needed a turbo they would slap one on for 2017
