this is a gorgeous car, and the only time i have been interested in a miata from the Aesthetics point of view. If i had extra cash, i would pick one up for a few years.

The car is shaped beautifully, but that rear design is a dealbreaker for me.

I'll just keep holding out for a true, fastback coupe.
I'd say this sums up my feelings exactly. They came SO CLOSE!!!! It seems to me they chose to keep the rear window/trunk assembly closer to that of the convertible, probably for cost reasons, but why didn't they just give us a nice sloping rear window!

Basically, with this design, you get the "fastback" look from the side, but from the rear, it just looks bizarre to me, not in keeping with the sexy fastback profile.

IMO both 86s still trump this on design. The Miata side profile is okay (a bit tall), but the front is ridiculously trout-mouthed and the rear is an absolute joke from a design perspective.

They are style bars, not roll bars. Hopefully Blackbird Fabworx can come up with SCCA-approved Roll bar for Miata RF.

They aren't exactly fuel efficient. We have CAFE standards as do many other countries.

Fair enough, and not surprised frankly.

Just "meh" for me.

I loved s2k's with a hardtop though and if I would've gotten one, that's the route I would've gone.

I was reading an article about 2-3 months ago about Mazda giving a press release that the rotory isnt dead to them so I think we will see another RX. 2017 will be the rotor's 50th aniversary, so the 16X will probably have some major debut then.
