i'm now gonna race this car, and i'm not gonna drive more than the posted speed limit. The fastest road in North America is what probably 140km/h ? i'm sure any car will do fine in terms of speed on public road.
i just wanted a nice LOOKING car. |

Here is a link to a Nasioc DIY:
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1134460 There are also vendors that sell the overlays that are much easier to install if you don't want to take them apart.

Faster?? I thought I read where the auto has a higher final drive ratio than the manual. Granted, acceleration is a different matter but the difference, according to one report I read: Auto: Zero to 60 at 7.9 seconds and 1/4 mile at 15.8 seconds at 91.3 mph. Manual: Zero to 60 was 7.3 seconds and 1/4 mile at 15.3 seconds at 92.1 mph. Hardly a significant difference if one does not race. The article went on to say: "So drag racers ought to opt for the manual transmission BRZ. Actually they should opt for a different car entirely, but that's a whole other subject. If anything, a closer look at the acceleration times indicates that you should think twice before assuming the manual is always better." They went on to say that the auto has a faster time from 45 - 60 mph. |

Learning to drive a MT is a lifelong skill that opens up more possibilities for any future cars you will buy or rent, and there are few cars better suited to teaching this skill than the FR-S and BRZ. The current crop of kids nowadays are more interested with Facebook integration, MPG mini games, Bluetooth audio streaming, stickers, domokun and herrafrush. Driving a MT and rowing the gears on their own means that they actually have to pay attention, and we can't have that happening.

i dont really think manual is always better, in fact, i think its safe to say that autos have really passed manuals in regards to potential. however, in the case of the frs, the manual is the better option for going faster/cheaper |

I'm interested in doing something like this, especially doing cherry blossom, but I'm scared that I would mess it up

So you want a Cherry Blossom Red badge, but don't even know the proper name of the color? Denied. Get out of here. No Cherry Blossom Pink for you.

There's DIY on NASIOC and I think on BRZ Club. My advice would be to buy a back-up OEM one and try that so you don't screw up and be missing your badge

Yes, but the color is named Cherry Blossom Red. Yeah, cyan might look like teal but it's cyan. This is Cherry Blossom Red. Not pink.

You can get the pink emblems from L'aunsport
I also got my shift knob from them. I will probably install both front and rear emblems by tomorrow, if only I got enough time after work. |
