Bang for the buck coilovers

Thanks for the input guys, been looking and researching a lot on what I want for my car and have been in this grey area on deciding what to get. Any more info about the RCE or the RS-R coilovers? Or even the Ohlin's?

To be fair the coilovers I have are comfortable (In my opinion but I like a firm ride) and I am sure I can lower them 2 inches if I wanted. Ride height is adjusted independent of preload or travel.

Fair enough. I should have stated he won't be going over speed bumps or steep driveway transitions at the same time.

hahaha thats a fact. I am afraid to go down 1.5 inchs. Right now I am in winter mode and stock height if no higher 4x4 stance FTW

OMFG I can't take it anymore, decide what you want to do before throwing rrandom brands in your sentences, how you could even consider both BC and Ohlins is beyond me, that's like cross shopping a Pinto and a Yacht. Establish what you want to do as far as tradcking witht he car, then establish what is more important to you, comfort or performance, then you can start looking at brands instead of listing an exhaustive list of brands ranging from complete pieces of shit to god-made ohlins

No mention of adjustment, alignment, track surface type, daily driving road conditions, handling preferences, perceived skill level, or criticisms of the car's behavior that need to be addressed. Sounds like spending money to spend money and go lower because the internet says wheel gap is ugly, maybe a buddy putting on some peer pressure "dude you gotta get some coilovers on this thing! handle like it's on rails bro! the body roll is disgusting and that wheel gap bro"

Lowering springs and dampers: TRD(actually Eibach's idk), RCE, Swift all have good reputations right now, grab a set of Koni or Bilstein's, camber bolts, trim about 10-20mm off the bumpstops, get a quality alignment (zero toe front, minor toe-in rear) and max out negative camber (should be around -1.5 degrees), should run you about $1.5k, put the rest of the money into seat time.

"omg but I can get XX way adjustables with camber plates for that money!"
Ok, it's your car have fun, plenty of people are happy with that kind of setup. All the brands have been mentioned, Fortune Auto, Feal, KW/RCE, Tein all have options <$2k that get lots of love around here.
