Something I just realized, the rims on the toyota 86 from the other thread or the same as the ones on the white car.

With the environment in which these cars are in and the time before first delivery (6+ months?) id wager these are 16s getting outfitted with 17 cosmetics for the show.

This would also allow them to hide what they dont yet want to reveal, like a revised intake, and half of these parts could be pre-production quality (basic shapes but lacking the proper finish and texture)
Agree with the black but the white appears to be the real deal. I can't imagine they added all the parts and then stuck the shipping protection back on them. Nor do I see them bothering to install and hook up the sensors for the door ajar indicators just for the show.
Real one in white for interior and overall changes black for closed up exterior cosmetics only. Why would the want to hide changes like an intake? This is the show where they are going to brag about those changes.

Well Tcoat when you have an impressive 5 horsepower gain to show off to the world you want to wait for the correct time. They know how much everyone is dying to see the new intake and have that extra 5 horsepower, so they are trying to build up anticipation even more!!!

Next will be shadowy pictures of a filter!

With this leak I wouldn't be surprise if they show something in a press form prior to NYIAS. I do hope that we'll see it at NYIAS, only a couple more days.

Damn I would happily swap those headlights onto my car after this comes out. They look fantastic.

I believe those are the new blinkers

Anyway, I love the new headlights but the rest isn't enough to want to trade in my car for it lol. I wonder the new cost

I will say though, I am not a big fan of the stock wheels, but let me tell you, it's a whole new game when they are gloss black, they look sleek. As for the red calipers, do you like those? I feel that they take away from the color combo of black and blue in the Series.Blue. As for value I think it's about even believe it or not. MSRP for a Series.Blue was 30,285 as per Jalopnik (sorry I cant find an official subaru release statement). The Hyperblue MSRP is 27690. The reason I say the same is believe it or not the Hyperblue I believe is a few hundred more/less than the regular limited so thats a deal in itself, secondly I am seriously considering buying a Hyperblue and have priced what it will cost me to get the exterior pieces, wheels and aero kit and its about 3000. So once you add it up they are about the same price. I am not sure but I believe the Hyperblue gets those underbody panels as well.
I'm fairly confident the HyperBlue doesn't get the underbody panels. I could be wrong but you might want to double check on it. Also, it's worth noting that you shouldn't pay MSRP for these. I paid $27,350 for my Series.Blue, for example.

From Moto-san in regards to the BRZ

Someone close to or at Subaru felt naughty and released a paparazzi candid of the 2017 Subaru BRZ it seems.
Neat how the lower front bumper line overlaps and does not intersect. Something none of the aftermarket thought to design in the 4 years till now. Square bezel of a round projector is something oddly dramatic, probably with a whole array of LED accompanying it. Tail lamp looks nice and tidy huh?
I wonder what the LCD screen is going to display in that cluster. Looks like all the dummy lights have been replaced with visual warnings in the LCD. Maybe a significant software feature is added to necessitate the use of an LCD panel? Have they stuffed track data logger? Maybe a interactive dynamics display like a GT-R? We know that even the original 2013-16's logging enough data in the BCU to spit out enough info to formulate a Gran Turismo 6 replay, so we will see, maybe, something using this!!??
Seems like the LCD overlaps the dial borders too. Steering controls for the LCD info-panel is added like a Corolla Auris/Scion iM... Wheels are different but only enough to be noticed by a previous owner or a car geek, I suppose.
We can't wait to see the whole car, and drive it! Japanese media rumors that the biggest differences are in the refinement to dynamics, and without aiming for changes, but to refine the existing car to another level... But it also means aftermarket can once again take this car even further if that's the case too.
Really, we can't wait!!!!

I like that front bumper. Depends on what they do with the foglights and if the bumpers will swap right over but I'd be interested in doing that bumper swap. The rest of it doesn't really matter one way or the other IMO.

Now if they actually did come out with an STI variant like they've been teasing for years.... I'd be at the dealer for sure.

I'm liking the 1st gens more and more. Something about the original 86 & BRZ just seemed so much more pure to the enthusiast.

Now it seems both are beginning the mainstream journey.
