Not either of those users, but I do own a series blue...

I think the hyperblue interior is actually spot on if it had some of the extras series blue has (the push button for example).

It's one of those preference things though. I love the minimalistic look of the hyperblue, but I like my interior just as much.

What I'm not crazy about is the exterior color... :P

I am happy with my current one as well but when you do 50K a year you need to plan ahead for every 5 years.

Honestly, it looks nice, but I definitely am sticking to my car. I think its trying too hard to be noticed. I like the color a lot though. All of the accents and black trim and such are pretty cool overall. And the fact that there is no series.blue of the WRX but there is a series.hyperblue of the WRX makes the car that much more unique.

I love everything that the Series.Blue had to offer at the time. I'm a huge sucker for limited edition anything, so when Subaru released the Series.Blue, featuring some "STI" parts/branding, I went for it. I also loved the blue stitching on the interior.

As for the Hyperblue, I like it because of the exclusivity of it. Then, you can mod it as you go, which I have done.

I'm biased, but I think it's worth it, either one you get. Hyperblue more because I believe that was more of a rarity? Please correct me if i'm wrong.

hyperblues were 500 units, while s.blue were 1000 (half white half wrb) so yes, technically it's more rare

would love to have your input as well. I'm actually interested in hearing more. What exactly do you mean spot on? Just the interior? It's interesting because I fell in love with the Series.Blue interior. The blue seat bolsters, the steering wheel blue leather, it spoke to me. As a matter of fact I thought the HyperBlue was rather bare bones... that is until I saw one up close. I have never personally seen a Series.Blue in person. How is the heavy blue interior. Does it ever become overwhelming? Any particular thoughts on it? I thought I wouldn't care for the minimalist look of the HyperBlue interior but frankly I have come to love it. The hyperblue stitching is an almost spot on match and that makes a huge difference! Not to mention, too much of that color on the inside would be overwhelming imo. Does the blue inside coexist well with the WRB on the outside of the Series.Blue. It may sound silly but I think the connection of color match in the Hyper.Blue makes a big impact.

Paint is the least of my worries when hitting 250K on a 5 year old car that has been out of warranty since half way though the year and a half mark.

Well my take on this. Okay so as for the interior being overwhelming, no the blue is a nice accent and doesnt take away from any other part of the car. Personally I think it enhances the WRB and brings it into the interior. I also really enjoy the little STI parts.

I'd buy the headlights if mine were ever non-functional anymore. If my bumper were ruined, i'd get the front bumper as well, if it's legit, although that would ruin the STI front lip as it won't fit anymore, i'd imagine.

It's definitely an interesting proposition. Believe me, I was probably the biggest skeptic of the HyperBlue paint but after seeing it in person I am a changed man. They say pictures don't do it justice and its completely true. I was worried it would be too smurf like, almost feminine if you will. Anyways, upon seeing it I must admit it definitely is Smurf like, very much a baby blue but while it's hard to explain, its baby blue in the best way! It's alluring, it makes sense why Seca Blue, and Grabber Blue, or even Polestar blue exist. I actually must say, one of my big problems with the Series.Blue is that I am WRB lifer, I wanted to paint my 4th gen Lude that color for the longest. It is easily my favorite auto color. Subaru did the BRZ justice by offering it as a paint choice. However, unless you have a trained eye or clearly get to see the interior, any BRZ WRB can dress up like a Series.Blue for approx 3000 dollars on the outside (considering that everything but the painted calipers, which I am not a fan of, can be bought from Subaru). A small complaint but it just always irked me a little. I am not sure any of you have seen a HyperBlue with an STI Body Kit but it makes that version that much more alluring. Something about the STI aero kit looks so good with the HyperBlue paint.

Although being able to dress one up like a series.blue does take some of the specialty out of it. I think its more the fact of knowing your car is special. At least for me.
