You should post up the before & after pics on HKS' Facebook page. I'm sure they would love to see the results of your polishing.

I just might although HKS might not like that I removed their logos... I'm going to try and keep the logo on the blower though... hopefully it will work out.

The kit should have come like this imo... however, all the work I put in will set my installation and engine bay apart.

Intercooler is almost complete...Once I paint the logo, I still have to polish it with Blue Magic.

I applied 3M super thin double sided tape to keep the edges down.

Ready for paint...I'll probably just take it to work and paint it tomorrow.

Said f#@k it and painted it today!

Finished pic coming soon...

Here is the finished product minus the finishing polish. I'm happy with the results!

Paint and Polish coming to this guy this week...I just have to do a little more masking off.

This week will be a busy one for me so more than likely I'll start my install next week. I'm in no real hurry though... plus I'm still waiting on parts so it'll be done, when it's done.

I've been doing double duty with the little bit of time I've had of late... working on polishing and painting my supercharger and bypass valve top during my breaks at work and sanding and polishing my Mishimoto aluminum fan shroud at home.

Completed pics coming soon...

The Mishimoto performance aluminum fan shroud is already a solid piece but I had to give it the zeal86 treatment... I will be posting a writeup of the install soon... it will include unboxing pics, comparison pics, and before and afters. I know that the HKS install instructions require the factory fan shroud to be trimmed...so that is already a plus for the Mishimoto fan shroud!

I hand polished the pipes on my mkiv supra. Definitely worth the time, and aluminum is so soft, it really doesn't take forever. Not like trying to polish stainless steel; i've done that too.

I can't tell, is the compressor housing removed from the supercharger before polishing?

Btw, decided against the anodized red for the compressor and bypass valve top... going with gloss black.

When I polished my turbo compressor housing I unbolted it from the turbo assembly. I was afraid of getting any water and sand/grit in the workings. Maybe my wet sanding was messier and less meticulous than your technique.

I didn't wet sand the compressor... stuck with dry sanding. only polishing portions of the compressor... not the actual housing... I'm painting that.

Please share pics of your turbo compressor results...
