Rocket Bunny Over Fenders Install HELP - Toyota GR86, 86, FR-S and Subaru BRZ Forum & Owners Community

What's up fellow FR-S, BRZ,and GT-86 owners. I purchased the rocket bunny over fenders and was wondering if there is any other hardware to use to install them without using rivets. Reason being I have little to no knowledge of how to use rivets and don't really want to use them. Is just drilling a hole and using other cosmetic screws able to hold the over fenders without having any additional problems. Thanks in advance.

If you dont know what you are doing please take it to a shop and have them do the parts you cant so it doesn't turn out looking like shit.

Not helpful at all lol, but thank you guys. Don't want to mold it I like the raw look of the over fenders on the fenders. Just didn't want to use rivets thought I could use other type of screws.

This isn't really regional specific and it is in the wrong region if you are in Arizona. I would ask in the Exterior Mods forum to see if anyone else has done anything. You are making holes in a nearly new car, so I would have it done professionally unless you want it to look like you let a Toddler finger paint on the Mona Lisa.

Here is another option... RivNuts I use these occasionally at my job (aviation)... they will basically give you threads to screw into. Problem is they are installed sort of like a rivet...but a professional shop could install these for you if you feel uncomfortable doing so.

Advantage of these is that they will make the fenders easily removable and allow you to use what ever fastener you want that matches the size and thread pitch of the RivNut.

These are installed the same way a rivit is put in. You will need a tool to install the nuts. This is the one I have came with a few rivnuts but will allow you to install most of the common sizes.
