Been through most of the thread. No price, or did I just miss it? That five HP is going to cost more than the OFT box and header. I was expecting more from Toyota. I wonder if Tada had any say. Had they left the body alone, added HP and torque and upgraded the suspension people would be lining up to trade. The poster who said they now have to appeal to a wider audience is correct. The actual second-gen will be less of a pure fun car.

With the new front fascia, I'm wondering if they fixed the crappy retention mechanism to keep the front from sagging or the sidemarkers from dangling after travelling at highway speeds Looking forward to see what the "changes to gearing" mean.

The thing I am most excited for is that I won't have to pick out of like 1000 after market wheels anymore. I like the new OEM wheel look and will gladly buy them off someone locally for pretty cheap (based on the price of current oem wheels). I may try to hunt down the head lamps in a few years, but I think valenti tail lights are still better.

Overall the new interior is just vomit inducing. Im so glad I got my 2016.

You had one job, Toyota.

Is there any (real) info from Tada on what his second-gen car would have been?

For a facelift model I like it. Enough changes to warrant calling it a facelift but nothing drastic enough to compromise the overall look with the car. That being said, I am still very content with my current MY vehicle. I look forward to swapping interior parts and seats should they really choose to go with alcantara.

Re: 5hp increase. I wonder if they got rid of the torque dip at lower rpms though? There's a bunch of tuning they could do to make the car faster and give it a healthly bump in hp but still not increase peak hp by much.

Re: revised suspension. Man, can Toyota ever get it right? Seems like they changed the suspension on the FRS every model year.

i like the front gives off an aggressive look than the pre-facelift. its not very fluid with the rest of the car but in person might change that and that's were bodykits come in handy if you don't like the front.

And not a single buyer's remorse was had on this day.

Glad I got a new '15 a month ago.

The ONLY thing that I would want is the minor engine upgrade, and it's so minor that it doesn't even matter.

Some more interesting info from @Moto-P that wasn't covered in the press release and media articles.

One the 2017 model, also featured is a reprogrammed power steering, as well as loads of recalculated spot-welded points and panels, plate thickness, etc.. to make the uni-body feel slightly different too.
My opinion on the facelift is that I'm glad to have the "old" FRS.
