They sound awesome. This seems very rare tho. I have driven around plenty of Vettes and they are probably the last ones to provoke a street race, with that confidence and all.

This is more of a douche bag in traffic story but I thought I'd share:

Driving home from work today I saw a black Audi R8 around 1/4 mile ahead of me. I eventually creep up and pass, no revs thrown or anything, I'm just cruising. I didn't look over as I passed because I didn't want him to get the attention he is probably hoping for when he takes it out. He cruised behind me for around 5-10 minutes, probably around 10 cars behind. Eventually he creeps up and then is right behind me. 3 or 4 times he attempted to pass, each time getting squashed back by cars in that lane since this is a 2 lane highway. With each attempt he put way more throttle into it than he needed since there is now congestion/traffic and there was no where to go, clearly trying to show off. On his final pass attempt he got rejected, again, but this time decides to cut me off. There was literally 0.75-1 car length of space that he decided to squeeze into and I had to slam on my brakes. I turned my high beams on and gave him the finger. After about 10 seconds he switched lanes and gunned it. This time he was able to get around 10 car lengths in front. Around 10 minutes later I ended up passing him just as he got off of his exit. I cant stand when people weave in and out and this kind of shit when there is traffic.

I don't understand why people will do that especially when they are driving such expensive cars. Do you really want to get in an accident and have to go through insurance and then fixing your car just for a moment of wanting to show off? It is so clearly not worth it.

I don't know, I think in some cases when it's an enthusiast, they feel like they have something to prove. I see similar types of behavior all the time when I spot another modded car in traffic. They notice me, and then they have to pass me and stay ahead even if it involves driving like a total douche. Another fine example is this story where the driver was so absolutely desperate to pass me that he used the shoulder. For whatever reason I guess they psychologically think it's a race or competition of some sort when in my head I'm sitting in traffic. idk

Besides that, I've come to the conclusion that everyone has no patients and nobody wants to use their brakes except for when it is to prevent them from rear ending someone. They would rather speed up and squeeze in, possibly causing an accident, then just slow down and be set back 1 or 2 car lengths. In the end, they are getting to their destination no faster. I see this type of thing literally every day.

I was sitting at a stop light today and two lanes over was an old school civic hatchback with a loud fart cannon. I looked over to see what the ruckus was and the driver was just glaring at me. The car looked like shit, so when I laughed, it seemed to piss them off even more.

I had just gotten off the gym and was getting on the freeway and waiting at a light behind a little red miata. Man how i always wanted one to just mess around. Noticed he had a roll cage inside, car was a bit lower than stock, pretty loud exhaust. Car looked like its been through some stuff. Decided i wanted to play some cat and mouse and so did he. As soon as the light turn green for us to enter the freeway we both sped off. Entering the freeway and trying to hit 65 as quick as possible i was probably half a car length behind him. We both knew that dragging with these cars was pointless. Went at it for about 20-30 seconds before i pulled off, wanted to drive next to him and give him a deuce. Saw the red and blue lights on my blind spot and i thought it was over... Oh wait, we never went over the speed limit. The hwpt over his speaker phone was like (keep racing your stupid racecars, see what i do. Stupid idiots, and he than took an exit.) Miata guy next to me and I were cracking up.

Not exactly a "CRMB" moment, but rather a "WTF is wrong with these truck drivers". I was cruising down HWY-75 in middle lane, out of nowhere, a lifted and blacked-out diesel Chevy pickup rocket pass me on right lane. He/she must be going at least 100mph+.

Just three miles down the road, while I was still trying to see where that pickup went, two pickups with lawn mowers and other equipment in their beds come racing from behind. Before I even had time to react, the second pickup sped up, cut right into my lane and swerved left to right before straighten itself out. They continued tailgating each other about a quarter miles down, flipped each other off with middle fingers and one of them exited off.

Just as I thought all the reckless driving was over, two more pickup trucks come racing from behind. It's almost like having a deja vu. At this time, I just yelled to myself "What the ***king hell is going on".

Texas pickup drivers are ***king crazy. Wish I had my Gopro on..

Texas is really bad with people that drive trucks, they give no fucks, especially on I-35.
