I keep reading "more aggressive styling" I dont think they know what that means... If anything the new styling is more rounded and camry-esque

You were called because many think it looks like a turtle. I am sticking to my blobfish theory though.

It looks absolutely awful from the front.

Yeah gotta agree. The previous car was wayyyy better (both BRZ and FRS). The rounded taillights reminded me of a Ferrari, and the new bumper looks very camry-esque, as you put it. No bias here either, considering I no longer own a BRZ.

That's kinda the point of this car, a blank canvas to each their own,

I Know I will be a minority here but those tails are just way to busy for me. I like the simplicity of the round ones.
And the front. Oh god that front. Looks like a BRZ got too close to a fire and sagged a bit.
Will reserve opinion on wheels until I see the real thing.

Do not like and probably would not buy.

I see a future of people buying it then swapping the 2013-2016 front bumper cover on it, or it being a total dud and the car doesn't exist anymore lol

Loads of people will love it over the original.

I will repeat again:

I have been saying for over a year that they are done with the 'cuz racecar crowd and have been slowly building the car up to hit broader demographics. They are now turning it into a true GT cruiser type vehicle and with each succeeding generation it is going to get further from what it started out as. We have seen this happen to many others (Eclipse, Celica, ah shit the list is endless). I am not saying that the older ones are "better" or the new "worse" just that they are different and meant to appeal to a wider group.

So here's my question. Would this make the body kits for the first generation harder to come by? If so I'll probably have to jump on a TRD kit sooner than later.

Also would it be possible to just pull out the center of the new steering wheel and replace the Scion one or would we have to replace the entire thing? I really want to get rid of the scion badge on my steering wheel, but not at the cost of whatever abomination that is.

I think releasing the press shots in Blue isn't a good choice, I feel like this could appeal to more people on a first impression if it was a color like White. Just my 2 cents.

You know also what is missing from the Press shot car is something we saw on the spied prototype.

a Wing! ugly or not there was a wing, I wonder what happened to it. or if it's an option .

Nah the number of body kits won't change for a while. Hell I can go buy a kit for just about any 80s car right now.

Nope you will not be able to just pull the center out. You would have to change the whole airbag assembly. And with the different steering wheel even that may not be doable.

I did think it weird they would use a colour that is traditionally thought of a Subaru. Even if it isn't the same shade or tone it is till blue and with many that associates to Subbie not Toyota.
