Japan TRD 86 Body Kit match?

I have been thinking about buying the TRD body kit offered for the 86 for quite some time. I'm just afraid that my car that 3 years old and 36k miles is now over the threshold where the paint doesn't look new anymore (I might be wrong though who knows) anyways been considering it for awhile but I am afraid the paint wont match soo much. I have a white car and I know that it's hard to have white match because there's so many variables that can make the paint look different. If I'm going to be paying roughly $2600USD shipped I'd like it to look good, I don't want to fork over that amount of money to have it not look that good.

Basically the point of this thread is a reassurance because I want the kit and think it's beautiful but it looks different on each white car. Also if the paint is really off it just doesn't look good at all.

Should I buy the kit now so I stop worrying about my paint deteriorating or wait a month or 2 and buy it then?

I have the OEM TRD Nurburgring kit front and rear, with the TRD Japan side skirts. Front and rear paint match were perfect on my 2 year old car. The side was not offered in Hot Lava so that was paint matched by a shop.

Did you have the pieces paint matched while they were on the car?

Get unpainted ver, get it painted at local paint shop. You'll be less worry and more satisfy.

It might cost more, but you don't have to get heart broken that color doesn't match.

Maybe I might order it already painted and then have it paint matched if the particular part does not match that well.

Unpainted is cheaper... but again, I don't really worry bout 1~2 shades off. So if I was in your boat, I'll just buy painted ver, if it's 1 shade off, I'll just say "meh~ good enough" and go on my way.

Either way, I gonna damage it on autox/track. lol

No, I took the gas cap off my car to the paint shop. It was actually done at a local Maaco, but I know the owner and they do a lot of higher-end cars in the area (GTR, Mercedes, etc.). No issues with them.

Might as well get it painted. You saw how close of a paint match it was for my Nur-Spec lip with my front bumper. I assume it will be almost the same with the painted TRD.
