I have 2015 WRX. If you're into driving experience and/or refinement, stay away from WRX. Shifting is just bad, steering feels rubber-like. It's loud, very loud like Subaru hasn't learned how to dampen the road noise yet. Interior is rubbish, it's worst than any current Honda car. Don't be fooled by the first drive, go back and drive it a feel more time and start to notice what I tell you. If you can live with it after a few test drive, go for it. Not sure if it's out of your budget, but I would look into Focus RS.

PFFFT!

Its handles great btw, much better than my 2011 WRX hatch did. Comparable to 2014 STI.

I dare you to find a better sedan for the money! Focus RS add $10K or more and it might depreciage a lot too. As much as it intrigues me, Id still probably feel safer with an STD or I mean STI if I was going that route. LOL

Driving is subjective, I guess? Steering feels rubber-like. Don't have to agree. Brake pad they use is garbage.

Better sedan for the money? Honda Civic. Down in performance number, but better in every other way. No I dare you find sedan better than Civic for the price. Car purchase isn't an investment, if resale value is what you care about, get a 3 years old car.

I love STI, but I didn't get it, I got WRX Limited with all goodies (and Short Shifter) which was only $3000 short of Launch Edition STI at the time. I didn't get STI because EJ257 inherent spun bearing and head gasket. Could I find a better performer for the money at the time? Maybe not. What about now? 32K Mustang GT spanks WRX all day everyday. I was into "I need AWD", BS nobody needs AWD, everyone needs common sense to drive.

sure for 32k I wouldn't be happy. I paid 25,700 fro my new 16 base and am more than satisfied for that price.

If you go WRX go new. Don't mess around with somebodies cast off. Guys that take care of them usually keep them and those that don't, well don't. You could luck out with a used one but the odds are against you.

agreed same with EVO. Idiots buy them run ridiculous amounts of boost then return them to stock and trade them in.....Then again that happens with the 86 too lol.

I bet you are. I could have gotten myself a RWD car and keep my AWD IS250 and be happier?

Happens with any performance cars. The WRX and Evo are just more affordable so it happens more with them.
I looked at several "lightly" used Evos a few years back and the fact that I have never owned one is telling.

yeah I made the mistake of buying an EVO 8 later to find out it was a complete POS...Had been running meth and beat to shit then returned to stock and traded in...
