The Space Needle is ridiculous. Friend ordered some steak that cost 70 bucks. He was furious of its size. As he said to the waiter "I didn't order a booger steak". The damn thing was half the size of his palm.

There's not a lot of spring tension anyways. Just undo the strut top nuts, jack the car up, remove the wheels, remove the end links, and the struts will pop right down for you to access the springs. Easy-peasy.

There may not be that much tension in these particular springs, but giving the advice not to use a Spring Compressor is just kind of dangerous.

Do your work right, don't introduce unnecessary risk. Just rent a spring compressor and use it. New tools are fun to use anyways!

Im not sure the medical terminology for having a lead foot, but idk how good that kind of mutation can be for your joints. Only a matter of time

It's only dangerous if you're trying to take the strut top off with the strut already removed from the car, which one of the DIY guides on this site actually recommends. If you remove the strut top nut while everything is still mounted up, you're using the weight of the car and your floor jack to slowly release the spring tension. To me, it's safer than trying to use a janky $20 dollar compressor from autozone, and definitely way safer than removing the entire strut and taking the top nut off.

That is about the 6th verse that has been altered to include me. At this rate I may develop a complex.
