You asked "What tires do you think you will go with?"

In what part of his post does he mention that the current 215 Goodyear Eagle all seasons are going to be switched out for something else??

Plus I did ask a question to ensure my post wasn't completely useless either. But please, carry on tearing into someone that is happy about something they did to their car. God knows hard working people don't deserve to be happy if what they did wasn't the best thing to do.

Oh my mistake, I thought he was saying a couple weeks until he lowers it.

If he's planning on swapping out for proper tires then that's great. However, I don't understand the point of mounting tires twice. Seems unnecessary and a waste of money in labor.

Considering he went with Ambits over RS05RR's (what I was going to get until wife said they were ugly) the budget probably didn't allow to get the wheels AND potentially $740 tires (if he goes with PSS). Mounting the old tires for a couple of dollars until the next paycheck rolls around to get new tires is what I would do out of excitement of my new wheels.

I'm of the mentality of "do it once, do it right", but thank you for explaining an alternate view of things.

If you read instead of just going into a rage you will see that I said I mounted them because a lot of people have asked what a 215 looks like on a 9 inch rim, so I decided to be helpful for once because "what the hell".
Yes I will be switching them out very soon because I have a buddy who'll be able to help me.
For such a fun car this forum really is full of pretentious assholes.

What tires do you think you will go with?
I'm not entirely sure. I've read a lot of good things about pilot super sports, might give those a try. I don't plan on tracking the car anytime soon so I won't go too extreme yet.

Soon as I pay off the SC and suck up a lot to wife I am getting wheels @ 18x8.5 et45 and a 5mm spacer in the rear (for street only) and was thinking about going 235's with PSS's as well. Though I would need coilovers first... They are extremely highly rated on tire rack and the reviews are all positive as well and I think a good choice.

Can you politely inform me of the exact point that I "went into a rage"?

Also while you're at it, link me all of the posts where people are asking what a 215 tire looks like on a 9" wide wheel.

yes i'm going to go through every single tire post and question and find the people who have asked
ive even seen it on other websites and since google pulls keywords who knows, maybe ill help a completely random person one day. Either way i would now like to stop clogging up the thread with bullshit. Go be angry about your life somewhere else.

In an effort to get back on topic a wee bit....

One thing that would be a huge bump up for you would be tires. While I had trouble getting through this ridiculous thread, you could try grabbing the 235 Dunlop's from a stock WRX. Lots of those guys will upgrade to a more serious tire, and the 235's will be much better in terms of fit, still look somewhat stretchy since it seems you may want some of that, but be way less dangerous, as well as a huge performance upgrade from an all season.

Just a thought!
