Well, sad to say number 585 will not be making it onto the registry.
Guess we have a 1 out 499 (known) running on the road; car now?
Looks like it was a side swipe so the occupant hopefully was alright.

Wow side curtain airbags. I didn't even know we had those.

If you check a couple pages back, 2 more were also totaled. So technically there are 497 known ones left.

Just updated the front page! Let me know if I missed you!

Also, my Nationwide Vehicle Locator shows me that there are only 26 S.HB's that are available! Get 'em before they're gone!

I have been just reading this thread since my intro post, but I guess I should explain since #585 was mine. About 2 weeks back we had some hard rain in my area. I had been messing around with turning off traction control and I thought I could save my tires and kick my tail out in the wet on a freeway ramp. That was a mistake. While I think I held a slide, the car slid outward quickly and I hit the curb. It happened fast so I am not sure my exact path, but I ended up hitting the only tree/bush in the area. Since the curb was high I think some underbody/suspension was damaged, and the plant did all the body damage. The car started after the fact, and after having it dragged out, I was able to drive it down the road where the tow truck could hook it up safely. I had some pretty bad neck pain the following day, and some airbag rashes, but I am fine. The car was totalled however.

I was depressed for a few days, but after much thought, I decided that I loved the car too much, and I wanted the exact same thing. So I am now the proud owner of #476.

It was and is an embarrassing situation, but friends and family were understanding. Hopefully my story will help others. Be careful out there gentlemen (and ladies), I learned my lesson the hard way.

Omg I dont even own a Hyper Blue! I am just thinking of picking one up and this pains me to see. I hate seeing beautiful cars have their wings clipped. Well needless to say I appreciate the honesty from Vesartis. I have been warned the dangers of RWD and getting cocky thinking you can kick it sideways just enough and then before you know it, it will sneak up and bite back. I have been lucky.
