My next mod is going to be getting rid of that ugly chrome piece.

How did you take it off? without taking the whole garnish

Just gonna bump my question.

Yea, I wasn't a huge fan of it either. Not the worst thing in the world but it needed to go once I saw the black fins on the Series.Hyperblue.

It was a really easy change. The fin is held on by double sided tape so I took fishing line (or any nylon string) and fished it under the blade and slowly pulled to separate the tape from the fender garnish. Clean residue tape with an adhesive remover and clean the surface. Then apply the new blade with the supplied double sided tape per the instructions. Simple and I think it makes a significant difference in the look. This was really something to tie me over until STI releases their black fender garnishes. Fingers crossed.

It's just stuck on there with double-sided tape.

Ok thanks. I was looking to get the Prova fender garnish but I think this is a simpler solution.

Any trouble with aligning the fin in the proper place?

Got the windows tinted at 5 Star Autoglass in Glendale, CA. Cool people and did a great job. I went with 30% all around. So excited for my first fix-it ticket.

Oh and I also scraped my bumper on a high curb.

Lowering my BRZ in the next couple weeks and then adding a lip kit. I know I'm going to scrape but still not ready for it.

This is technically yesterday, but got this wrapped up! Wasn't too hard, could have gotten it done in a day, but it gets dark so fast, and I only have about 2 hours of light after I get home before it gets too dark to work.

No trouble at all. The fin has pre-applied double sided tape and is form fitting to the fender garnish. Just peel and stick on.
