You should be installing it for me, Neal...so I will remember that!

The way he explained it is the MAF sensor could not be properly seated in Edelbrock's intake pipe because the clamp cam on the hose clamp was at 12 o'clock and was interfering with the seating of the sensor. Even though the two screws were tight the sensor was lose and he would get all sorts of false signals when he wiggled it. He repositioned the clamp to the 9 o'clock position and was able to seat the sensor properly. I don't know if this is a design flaw or a installation mistake but something I wanted to pass along to all so they won't have to go through what I have been through.
When you changed out the MAF sensor from the other Scion, it may have not seated correctly. The MAP sensor is located on the last intake runner on the driver side (closer to the firewall side). Make sure the MAF sensor sits flush with the intake block.

Logs indicate much higher pressure at idle than normal (less vacuum), coupled with wildly positive fuel trims, which indicate a leak is still present.

Also of note is that logs were reviewed thoroughly before the car left CSG after installation. Vacuum was proper as were trims, and the car was running quite well. It was not until the drive home that these symptoms started occurring, which would suggest that the leak occurred after the car left the shop.

Yes, the leak could have occurred on the freeway on the way home, but if the vacuum and trim were correct and something happened on the drive home then that means something installed by CSG was not installed correctly or came apart on the way home. David from CSG has been giving me things to look for and try. We have found some things but as you stated from my logs we're still not there. I have had my car at 2 different tune shops in Palm Springs and now this morning the Scion dealer. None of them can find any vacuum leaks. And the Scion dealer "Smoked" my car what ever that means. I'm not trying to place blame on anyone or anything, I just want my car to run as it should.

I have not touched the bosch sensor that came from edelbrock, only the sensor in the intake. I will check it.

Just checked the MAP sensor and it looks good, seated properly and nice and tight.

Zach, I just talked to the Scion tech again and he confirmed he smoked my car and couldn't fined any vacuum leaks.

Hate to say it, but sounds like another possible manifold gasket issue.

How does one use smoke to check for vacuum leaks? I've used a smoker to pressurize an intake system to look for boost leaks - you just add 5 psi with an air tank and look for any smoke. But a vacuum leak?

I'm with Racer, if the hose connections are all solid and there are no splits in any hoses all that is left are gaskets. Start with the ones around the throttle body, they are easier to access.

You have a boost gauge? You check that line?

Well here's hoping for the best. The Scion Tech came out tonight and brought his smoke machine. He said he had it hooked up wrong today and after hearing about the CEL again wanted to try a different spot. Guess what, smoke came poring out of the hose coming off the PCV Solenoid. There had not been a hose clamp installed on the hose and it was really loose. It was quite a struggle getting the solenoid lose so a clamp could be installed but he did it and the car feels like a new car. It's not stalling at stops, no bog or hesitation off idle, and idle manifold pressure is now down from .41 to .32. Right where Zach at Delicious Tune said it should be. So keep your fingers crossed and hope for the best.

Sorry to jump in here, but.... Where are all the videos of this kit in action???

I see some dyno videos and some in-car videos, maybe startup videos... But no auto-x runs, no 1/4 runs, hell not even any "someone standing on the corner while the car drives by" videos!

GET OUT THERE AND GET SOME VIDEOS EDELBROCK OWNERS!!! You are disappointing me
