Why I'm not getting Michelin Pilot Super Sports - it's the same price as more track-ready tires like RE71Rs or ZII Star Specs - but it's not a track tire. It's 20% more expensive than other very grippy street tires like the S-04 Pole Positions, but it's not 20% better in any metric other than warranty.

The only thing I don't like about my MPSS so far is they pick up everything. Street looks clean and smooth? It'll still sound like a lawnmower running over rocks.

Grip at the cost of steering response = not fun. The sidewalls on the Primacys are actually pretty stiff for what they are, so I think you'll be pretty pleased with anything with a good sidewall.

dammit everyone, stop talking about ordering wheels and tires. I've been holding off for as long as I can but with warmer weather coming and everyone else ordering their summer setups I don't think I can last much longer.
