I'd stay away from SBD mainly cause they're just a reseller of a stolen design, but theres a whole other thread on that drama.

AVO is probably a good idea, I think it keeps the heat in the engine bay lower since the turbo is located lower. So the exhaust doesnt get piped upwards through the engine bay.

Anyway, plenty of threads on this.

In summation there is no answer to the OP's question. Far to many installer variables.

Here are 3 factors you might consider:

-type of turbo/housing/bearing, manufacturer quality
-quality/consistency of piping and intercooler
-design and routing of piping and turbo location, how it relates to heat management, and what addition supporting work needed to mitigate it.

Simplest probably better for consistency. Another reason I like the look of AVO.
If I was in the market, it would be between AVO and SBD.

I thought SBD (Zage) and Greddy were made in the same factory in Taiwan. They aren't 100% identical either. I don't think the Greddy kit has a BOV and uses a different turbo. I agree with @Cole if I was in the market for a kit, I'd go with AVO or SBD.

SBD buys and resells the kit from Zage. They claim to have no knowledge of where the original design came from, they just get it from Zage. But yes, they did change a few things based on user feedback.

I think, by sales, SBD is probably the #1 turbo kit seller in 2015+.

We have exactly 850 members in our Facebook group, with more being added daily. If you're interested in our kit, join the group and ask questions.

The members are very helpful and can answer anything you would want to know.

ITT: Marketing and people pushing the kits they're running because it hasn't blown up on them yet.

The real answer: There are only so many ways to route piping, half of these kits are nearly the same thing, usually repackaged and regurgitated with a different snail or supporting hardware (EWG/BOV). The magic is in the tune. Talk to your tuner, and if you don't have one picked out, put serious research into finding a good one.

If we've done something wrong, I would welcome the lawsuit.

The fact of the matter is, we have not and the kit has been on the market since 2013 with zero legal notice of any wrongdoing.

Let's not speculate, as that wouldn't be accurate information to spread.

Whether it is or isn't a copy of another company, I don't think that's what's being said with @Luftwaffel comment.

We could start a whole new debate on how your kit looks similar to another certain kit, but then is also similar to another kit, which is similar to another kit. How many ways can you effectively route charge pipes and shit? Ya feel me?

I completely agree. I just think this issue of Greddy vs Zage has been beaten like a dead horse and personally, I'm sick of answering it.

There's nothing that's been said, asked, implied....that hasn't been 100x over at this point.

What @Cole said. I was basically just saying this thread is silly. If I were going to do a turbo build on the cheap, I'd probably run SBD myself, with a few tweaks. Hell, we've already talked in PM.

I've only seen a couple kits that have some seriously ignorant design decisions, and they're already talked down on for a myriad of other reasons.

@Andre Suwuh - Find a good tuner. /thread
