Volume wise how would you compare the Corsa to the Nameless and Q300? I really want to get some cat less headers with my Corsa but I'm concerned about the increase in noise and potential drone.

The Corsa is quieter than the Nameless but for me the Nameless had some drone about 2000 - 3000 RPM, otherwise great sound but too loud for me. No drone with Corsa but great sound. Corsa is louder than Q300. The Q300 was too quiet. It would probably work well with other exhaust upgrades. I think the Corsa would do well with exhaust upgrades and there are a few that have added upgrades and have reported good sound. Exhaust sound preference is a very individual preference. Your best option is to find someone with a setup you want to hear and meet with them for a real time listen to the exhaust. The recordings on line help but do not give the true sound. Good luck.

You'll have to turn up the volume. The video was taken with my goggle cam, and while great for capturing vids on my sled or quad, turned out real quiet in the car. Car has a TRD cai, OFT and OFH and Corsa Catback. Definitely has that boxer rumble now.

Thread Revival:
Just picked up a used Corsa from a guy in a local club who has moved on from the 86 platform. Picked it up for $450. Was some slight scrapping on the bottom of tips and muffler. But can't complain for that price really. Also picked up a Gruppe-S UEL Header and OP. I will be wrapping the header and OP today and (hopefully) Installing both by EOD tomorrow. I will try to post some videos of the sound when I am done. I'm planning on putting everything on at once, as to not fall in love with the Corsa alone and not like what it turns to with the Header (as I have heard some people say as well.) |

Got the Corsa installed!
Ran into a couple issues with the install. I snapped a bolt at the cat flange because I tried reusing the spring bolt from stock (as I did t receive the hardware with it being used) word to the wise. Don't try it. The thing snapped and became a flying projectile to my lower lip. Woke up this morning and 1.07 at ace for the proper hardware and was able to finally connect the system. Also can't get the tips exactly center (I have a touch of ocd). Used some PB blaster and tried adjusting the tips but they won't move anymore towards center. Oh well, I'll live. As for sound! I installed the Gruppe-S header and OP so results not typical. But holy hell! Cold start is annoying. Once warm, though, purrs like a lion. Pleasantly boxer rumble loud when WOT and subtle at cruising. Super impressed with the combo this far. Granted it's only been a couple hours. Will try to remember to post back in a couple weeks to see how everything is progressing. |

If you do ever get the chance, I would love to hear how the exhaust sounds at cold start to warm and a few drive bys! The thing that is making me hesitate with getting a header is how loud this exhaust will be. Thanks! EDIT: I also noticed that you were debating between ECUTek and OFT. On OFT there are tips on how to quiet down your cold start by editing tables using RomRaider. The cold start is used mainly to warm up your cats. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...ght=cold+start (Its section 4.5) Last edited by tinma; 02-24-2016 at 02:17 PM. |

I feel that this exhaust is a bit underrated in regards to its popularity with the twins. Its a great looking exhaust, great quality product and in my opinion a good balance of exhaust noice, no drone and looking good, amongst other things. Ive been running this catback for roughly 8k miles and love it. Now I'm just on the hunt for a good header with this exhaust
