Another One Bites the dust

After a miserable week in and out of the hospital for a family emergency, I was out of town a friend had borrowed my car.
A close friend that has taken it numerous times but who knew this would be the last. Sad to say that I was forced to say goodbye to the ft86 family for the time being .

He was obviously hooning around in the wee hours of the morning with tsc off.
Took a 90 left and the back end kicked out. Over corrected and then snapped back the other direction. Ended up with the ass end in the ditch, spun through the ditch where the front right tire ended up hitting the Metal water pipe you see in the picture below. There were no skid marks on the concrete from that point until where he ended up upside down.

Glad he was able to walk away. Thumbs up for subaru and their safety as he was able to walk away with only a few bruises.

Friends don't let friends drive their twin...
On a serious note, good to know that your friend walked away alive.

The car proves it's safety yet again.
At least for a change (lately) it isn't Lava!

Well that sucks. Glad everyone's ok. Hope insurance covers it and you can get back on the road. I also hope your friend learned his lesson and it didn't ruin your friendship.

Damn. Glad your friend is okay, hopefully you never let them borrow your car again! I have to say, the structure looks really impressive - hardly looks like the passenger compartment was encroached upon at all.

What's with people who are borrowing a friend's car and going crazy with it?

Unless you've been told by the owner "go crazy" isn't it just plain common sense to go easy with somebody else's car?

Sorry to see. Glad your friend is OK.
Although his ass probably WONT be once he recovers and you get to have that 'conversation'....

I try to remind myself "A car is just a tool, I don't get upset when I break my hammer"

One morbid thought I had though:
When I saw it was a GBS (or aquamarine for FRS) my first thought was "please don't let the rear bumper cover be damaged!"

Too bad!
I need one from when I backed my hammer ... I mean my BRZ into the garage wall in a hailstorm....

I guess you have realize it's a sports car, that changes the mentality of someone else driving it a bit.

If the person knows even the slightest bit about cars and goes to drive it and they aren't very respectful they'll go and turn off the traction control if they are left alone. It's common sense to be respectful of other peoples property especially when borrowing it, but some people milk it out and don't respect it
