Houston's BRZ Build

Hello all let me start by saying hello, my name is Houston I'm from East Tennessee, Gatlinburg if your familiar with the area.

I bought this car coming from a 2002 Honda S2000, I've also had 2 previous S2ks, and various other cars such as, 3 350z's, WRX, 6.0 GTO, as well as many others and have really took up a liking in the BRZ.

My last S2K

My history is I've worked in a body shop since I was 14. It is a family owned business with very high standards in repairs, and a long reputation to back it.

Now obviously with me working in the collision business I've bought many of salvage/rebuilt titles. So this one was no different, except I bought from an individual, and not an auto auction like usual.

My ideas for the car and plans were it is more of just a blank canvas, I don't have any exact ideals, budgets, or plans. Really more of a play as I go, and pay as I go project, I prefer to "ball on a budget", if you will and I always have.

The car was a 2013 Subaru BRZ Limited, with 14,000 miles.

Here's my project car history, started out as a very minor wreck, and it also took a very high hit. If you are familiar with the collision business these tend to be the wrecked vehicles to buy.

I bought the vehicle for $12,000 which I was more than happy to pay even with it being rebuilt title.

This car didn't need fender replacement which I was very happy about the more factory paint the better to me. And I was fortunate enough to find a factory painted hood already my color!

What these pics will not show is how bad the paint was before I know it's really new, but that doesn't matter. So I did a full paint correction, and I have to say I am very pleased with the before/after paint correction.

So here she was before the wreck and after..

First came full BaysonR lip kit all CS style.
Very happy with fitment and quality of all of these parts, they came highly recommended from this forum.

Next came wheels and tires. Which are Ambit RE02 17x9 +35 and tires are Hankook Ventus 245/40s as well as Eibach Sportlines.

The came the Rally Armours, love these freaking things give it such as aggressive look on the cheap and I think they look amazing in partnership with the lip kit and rear spats.

Didn't get any pictures of the installs sorry!

And that^ is currently where she sits now awaiting her next latest and greatest!!

(Not pictured is my Berk muffler delete, and Borla UEL. Which I traded for both for a Mossberg 500 shotgun I had $60.00 in)

My next purchase will be an OFT, to free up so extra power.

**UPDATE 1/14/16**

Just got the OFT, debated between it and ECUTEK, I really liked the OFT's on the fly data logging capabilities. I mounted it using an off brand from Amazon "Steelie" ball mount, as well as added and ran behind the dash a 3' OBD2 extension cable and hid all the wiring.

**UPDATE 5/31/16**

Well since my last post I went with the Speed by Design kit, wow what a great kit.

I am in no way affiliated with SBD but customer service by Chris Riggs, real stand up guy.

ALL of the kits parts are what I believe great quality, you seriously will not beat this kit in the $3,000 price range. The install was a real piece of cake too, start to finish 4-5 hours.

I went with the custom E-tune by Shiv, took 6 adjustment datalogging and re-sending but runs flawlessly now!

Here's the only pictures I have at of the install. Sorry fellas.

Here is a really good photo from the Tail of The Dragon, really get to see that pretty intercooler.

PSA: Ambit wheels are not VIA / JWL certified, despite their claims. You may as well be riding on XXR's.
