At work so could copy and paste the email. This is what we Canadians received from Scion yesterday: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Dear Anthony, We are writing to you today with important information regarding Scion. Scion was brought to Canada in 2010 to meet changing market and customer demands. Since then, we have achieved our goals of developing unique products and processes, and bringing new customers into the Toyota family. As a Scion customer, we are sure that you appreciate Toyota’s traditional attributes of quality, durability and reliability. And as our customers’ wants and needs change, so must our brand. That is why we believe now is the ideal time to take the valuable lessons from Scion and transition Scion into the Toyota brand. As part of the brand transition, 2017 Scion vehicles will be introduced as part of the Toyota lineup: ![]() • ![]() The FR-S sports car and iM 5-door hatchback will be available for sale under the Toyota brand, ![]() • ![]() The tC sports coupe will have a final release series edition this summer, and ![]() • ![]() The C-HR, which recently debuted at the L.A. Auto Show, will become a part of the Toyota lineup. Over the past years, we have enjoyed meeting you, interacting with you online and we are proud to have developed such a passionate network of owners. Please know that as an existing Scion customer, the warranty service and repair process will be unaffected by this change. You may continue to visit service departments at Toyota dealerships for all of your maintenance needs. If you have questions about Scion products or services, please contact your local Toyota Scion dealership. We thank you for your support of Scion. Best Regards, ![]() Chris Pappas National Manager, Scion Division Toyota Canada Inc. ![]()

@Tcoat I got that email too. I was hoping it was another survey so that I could win a third $500 gas card.

I know there are youtube montages full of it but do you guys have that one friend in real life who just spouts so much bullshit about cars?
My buddy has an ecoboost mustang, 310 at the crank stock, and he is convinced that he is sitting at about 315 at the wheels because "it feels like it, and the tune feels really strong." This is a bit of the pot calling the kettle black because I have a canned tune as well but all he did was put a canned tune and a CAI on. The place he bought it from was advertising 15whp from the two together. I will never understand why people say this kind of shit when it can be so easily fact checked. Lets be nice and assume 15% loss to drive train 310 * .85 = 263.5 263.5 + 15 = 279 if we are being nice. He is also convinced that he will be over 400 whp by the end of this year after a more aggressive(yet still canned) tune, an aftermarket wastegate, a cat back exhaust, and possibly a new intercooler. I really don't see that netting the 160 or more at the crank he is going to need for this to happen.

Don't want to pay a bundle for rims and tires just to get rid of the car and have them not work for the next.

All of my friends drive old beat up pickups, luxury sedans or SUVs so at least you have somebody to talk cars with even if they are full of crap.
