I use Turtle wax and it hides them a tad too.
Is there a specific turtle wax you use?

Lemme get home. I'll take a copy. It does a good job in hiding (filling) swirls.

I use all of Adam's Car Care products. A little pricey but really great quality and ease of application. Best way to remove swirls and/or haze is with an orbital machine. I have a Porter Cable and it works wonders.

I really like 3M and MeGuiars products. 3M has this stuff. It's a medium fine cut compound so it's easy for the consumer and you don't need a polisher for it. It's important you follow the bottle instructions exactly.

I understand, I was just giving you food for thought, being both unaware of your experience level and just offering general guidance. So once your paint is corrected its the understanding of proper washing that will keep the car in good shape, mainly for two reasons. One, once you spend the time to correct a car, while enjoyable its serious work, two, like I eluded earlier automotive clear coat is thin, you can get away with a light polish here and there but correction work wears down clear coat, therefore I recommend to you some sort of long lasting sealant or coating after correction.

So can you correct by hand? Yes to an extent light polishing by hand you can remove light wash induced marring etc but not serious damage for the most part anyway. My question would be how significant is the damage? spiderweb swirls, scratches? holograms? tough to advice without seeing the damage. Honestly though? by hand its a ton of work, a porter cable 7424 makes it so much simpler, and its pretty affordable. You can correct the car yourself unless you have have some disposable income and want to pay a pro. It is very doable with some commitment, and research, plus its rewarding. Please feel free to ask questions if you need product advice or further guidance I am happy to help you.

I love Junkman. He's funny, but he also really knows his, uhm, stuff. His videos are great!
