You can do that, or you can wrap them.

DEI titanium wrapping can be a bit dangerous because I've heard stories from car shows about people who had oil leak on them once in a small amount and it lights itself on fire and becomes wadding.

Cerakote or whatever alternative is expensive but the best route, keeps the headers from rusting up a bit longer, also supposedly wrapping long term created micro fractures in welds and such on some headers that's here say though and has yet to be proven .

In both cases it's supposedly better, I think someone did a dyno run in long term it keeps the heat in the header allowing more consistent runs power wise, also most of the aftermarket stuff has no heat shield, so that would become the only defense against heat in the engine bay. Also if you have OFT you can do what I did and tune it to keep the engine bay vented at all times with good fan curves

So far that proof is not been provided but there have certainly been a large number of outright fraudulent statements and half assed explanations for them when confronted.Oh and I could not care less how his car looks.

So he delivered:

See how much better the quality is?

Also the dyno chart glimpse at the end:

I say he's telling the truth, however it is definitely not the bolt on record it's impossible to prove that.

The simulated vehicle weight setting on the dyno is 4250? That's definately the weight record for a twin.

Coating doesn't help a ton with heat, wrap the headers if your worried about heat.
