Yeah, I'm curious to see what Mikey has to offer up here. He's clearly resurrected a several month-old thread, so he's either here to bring decisive proof or he's here to bring more circumstantial proof and tell us how "fast" his car is.

To be honest, given his track record, I'm sure it's the latter.

Yeah but the ace header is a made by ace, he said he made his own header so even if he is on E85 I doubt his header is that good

If you look at his thread post history he's asked how much power e85 and a header would make with a tune and he got an honest answer.

I think, I know what you're talking about. I usually do give warning before temp banning a member, but THAT doesn't mean, I ALWAYS give them a warning before hand. I had it enough clean up aka shitstorm, I think that member deserve to chill out for a bit (temp ban). I have temp banned members before... BUT I haven't given ANY member perma ban without warning them first. If they didn't receive it before & got perma banned, 90% our boss have banned that member & guess what? This is HIS forum. He's the King, he's the law, he's the God here. He can do whatever he wants... BUT often he stay out of way and let mods take care of stuff. When he come to clean it up or ban someone/thread, that member/thread is out of line & that member deserved to get banned. No buts about it.

But the member in question had never had ANY warnings or infractions. Then gets banned for a comment on the "random thoughts" thread. What topic is sooo taboo on a random thoughts thread??

No it's ruined My original intent was to have this thread than mod accordingly back in 2013 but things changed. Instead it got hijacked with memes and useless info and one guy with an ego posting erroneous claims.

But here's what you do:
1)Intake- drop in will net the most power because the stock intake isn't a restriction
2)Headers- a proper uel, el or the super crazy ace header(this one has been proven to nearly touch 200 whp with a tune) will smooth out the torque dip and give nearly a 20 hp bump with a tune
3) Tune- custom ecutek tune or ots OFT tune will make a really big difference otherwise the mods just lag behind and don't make any power.
4) Possible pulleys- this is debatable as to whether or not there is a noticeable difference in power, and there's also way more engine damage risk with no harmonic balancer even though the boxer is inherently different in design, I would however swing on accessory pulleys

Also you can go "faster" without more power, final drive gear upgrade to 4.56-4.67 if your manual will increase acceleration quite heavily when combined with a cf or aluminum drive shaft (has been proven to me to not be the best route by people), also cutting out extraneous weight, rear seats and seatbelts, spare tire and tools etc. For an auto in my case a 4.88 final drive set is more logical.
