Gramlights 57Valkyrie
Update -
Finally got the 57Valkyries 18x8.5 + 30. Went with 245/35/18s The wheels themselves weigh in at 22lbs each. Not fitment issues at all on the RS1.0 , which is on TRD Springs. ----- I am trying to decide between these and the 57Xtreme. But it looks like nobody on here has them and there's no thread on this. I just wanted to know some more info on them before buying like Weight..etc. Or how they look in actual photos. https://www.rayswheels.co.jp/product...eel=57Valkyrie Looks really similar to the GS-F wheels. Most vendors that can order the wheel for you should be able to find out what the (rough) weight of the wheel is, provided the sizing you want. It might be easier to find the weight of a more common Gramlights wheel with the same technology (C - 1P) such at the 57Getter, 57C6, and 57Xtreme to get a (again, rough) idea of what the weight of the 57Valkyrie will be.
There are images online, you just need to take the time to search through a few Japanese wheel and, or care review websites - that's what I did for my 57FXX wheels. Here's a pic I found just googling '57Valkyrie 86' - I think that they'd look great on an RS 1.0 - bronze looks surprisingly good with the yellow (IMO.) |

Haha yea I was trying to Google frs instead of 86. It looks like some Japanese 86 owners have it though. If it weighs anything like the 57xtreme I might jump on it.

I'm getting these for my hyperblue actually, I noticed there was no threads about it either. I kinda like how no one really has them though, it's good to be one of the few

Just ordered my set of 18x8.5 from RAVSpec
Hopefully it wont be too heavy. The shipping weight is around 100lbs , Please let it be some kind of heavy padding or something lol. |

I was offered these when I ordered 57xtremes and the xtremes were already sold..
I decided I just didn't like them IMO and ended up buying 57xtremes elsewhere.

I weighed one of the wheels tonight and it was exactly 20 lbs, so my guess is that the 57Valkyrie in the 8.5 width will probably average 21 ~ 22 lb per wheel. |

Thats what I was thinking too , But then I look at pictures and it seems just fine. Tire rack says 225 is good for 7.5"-9.0". My friends lexus has a 225/40 on his 18x8.0 , and it fits perfectly. Would 0.5" change it that much? I am also getting Michelin PSS , which run a bit wider than usual. So it could just fit perfectly.
I dont really mind going wider , since that would save the headache. But I have read on here that wider tires do affect the steering feel of the car. And this cars power doesnt really need a really wide tire. Maybe 225 on the front and 245 on the back? |
