As a guy we have the ability to have kids later in life if we marry someone younger. I personally have no desire to have kids nor does my old lady, so at 34 I dont feel old but if I did want kids I would feel like the opportunity for my old lady to have kids is almost gone.

The way I see it, if you are worried about not being in your own place, married with kids, etc at your age then feel some comfort in the fact that the recession delayed a lot of people from making the next steps but it is really all just relative anyways. Think about the people who die at 67 and 87. Would you feel less rushed if you knew your life would last until 87 versus 67? Would those extra 20 years make you feel like you have some cushion? If you are 27 that cushion is like you are only 7 years old. In that sense you are ahead of most who will die at 67, right? And if you die of cancer at 32, and you knew it, you may feel even more behind, even older. It is all relative.

I'm 31 and is finally financial stable, made $70k last year. I'm just starting to enjoy my life and my toys I lust after. I grew up living on welfare, we where immigrants. Anyways, when I was 24 I made $19k a year. Don't feel so rushed to keep up with the Jones. I'm about to buy a evo x final edition of wait for more news on the new 2017 twins.

You are still young child. I'm 27 and feel as if I could live for centuries. Now that you actually have some experience, you can feel your age. But it is a fraction of what it means to be "old."
