Not bashing people that buy it. Just saying its a ripoff of another company's hard work.

I'm kind of amazed by all the hate towards SPD.

I mean, I really don't know where we would be in the world of programming and development if we didn't copy.

Those that chose to hide their code and keep it away from peering eyes tended to fail, while those who opened it to the community would tend to succeed.

SPD = Linus?

There's a difference between open source programming and blatantly stealing someone's research.

Its like working on a research paper with someone vs. just taking another person's paper and replacing their name with your own.

SBD didnt contribute anything to the development and advancement of turbo builds. The only thing they did is take profit away from a company that actually spends money on research and development.

Developer of Linux.

Very different situation. Linus didnt like the MINIX OS which cost $$$ so he developed his own OS. The code was then made open source for all to use under a license that prohibited commercial redistribution. In other words, people aren't allowed to sell Linux for a profit. (Stuff like Red Hat Enterprise Linux is sold for profit, but the argument is that you're paying for the additional support from Red Hat as well as the proprietary components they add to the Linux OS, and not the Linux kernel itself).

Will you people put the pitchforks and torches away please. I have never read so much moaning about 'ethics' and 'stealing'. Not going to change anything, just eating up more bandwidth on the internet. By now, I think *everyone* has heard both sides, and can make their own decisions.
Hey hey, I pay for my bandwidth. Unlike SBD and their turbo kit design.

This is wrong and you should feel bad for attempting to draw this comparison. Shame on you!
