Yes I love the car! People think its worth more than its looks and some even called it a Lexus...

I got a good deal for the prices they go for other than scratching front bumper on my first week ($300) and getting rear-ended on my second week (waiting insurance approval).

LOL my wife drove it to work and someone asked her how does she afford a 40 thousand dollar car. Though we can afford a 40k car the FR-S certainly isn't

When I got mine my boss said "I thought you didn't get a Porsche because you didn't want to ruin an expensive car and then you bought that?"

Ya he guessed somewhere around $60K. Thought I was going to have to show him the invoice to prove it wasn't.

Why did you think you would ruin it?

I paid enough to have fun. So in the monetary sense, it's priceless!

I drive 50,000+ miles a year with half of that through Canada winter. I refuse to have a beater for the winter as that adds costs, I have no place to store the vehicle not in use and I buy cars to drive not sit for half the year.
As a result I stick to "nice" but inexpensive cars that I don't mind if they end up looking like they went through a meat grinder when I trade them in after 5 years. No matter how hard I try to keep up with the little stuff it will still accumulate and I would rather have that happen to a inexpensive Scion/Toyota than a costly Porsche or Jag. It is just the reality of my situation and has been for 20 years now. There is nothing funnier than the look on a salesman's face when you go to trade in a 5 year old car and he looks at the mileage and it reads 300,000 miles. They usually go silent for a couple of minutes and then open with "well about your trade in value...".

Ha. Ouch dont blame ya. Gota have a stable to keep a thurabread in no doubt. I'll drive this four years or so. I still may not be ready for my dream Z06 because we're planning a move to FL next few years. How many miles you have now. Mines at 46k. Nice thing about southern USA. You can drive any car any day of the year.

Haven't looked recently but around 65K or so in the year and a half I have had it.
Will have this one for 3 more years then will move to the 2019 MY (if they still exist and are not ruined) or something else cheap yet fun and then 2024 I will retire and have a Type F (if they still exist and are not ruined). The only other factor that could have an impact would be if I changed jobs and did not travel so much. If that were to happen then the timetable would be moved up.

They are already ruined if that yellow thing that I saw on here is the next model year. WTF is all I can say to that!

Good plan, retire, move out of there into a warm climate and go car nuts!

About 22K for a new 2014 BRZ that was still on the lot when the 2015 ones rolled around.
