The concept of replacing a global addiction to cigarette nicotine that was started with no understanding of the long term health effects (look how that turned out) with another nicotine based product with minimal research on long term health; greatly troubles me.

Add the fact that fancy flavoured vapours are infinitely more palatable by consumers and the surrounding masses makes it all the more likely to gain popularity and impact even more lives, just when we were on the cusp of demonising smoking enough to put people off

Thing is, a lot of the vapers you see don't actually smoke cigarettes to begin with. The vape oil they're smoking contains no nicotine, which is available as an option to purchase. They just think it's cool to blow smoke and do tricks and whatnot. Now, i'm sure there are harmful ingredients in the non-nicotine oil, but i'm sure it's much better than smoking cigarettes that have nicotine and millions of other harmful chemicals.

Ehh who cares? Why go out of our way to convince people not to smoke? As long as they are only hurting themselves, what's it matter? We going to demonize pepsi and McDonald's too? I'm all for encouraging people to eat better but I'm not going to picket a BK. The obesity problem in America is way worse than the smoking one. Just think of vapes as diet cigarettes. Still not good for you, but better than what we had before. If it wasn't that, people would just find some other unhealthy thing to do.

Ever notice the correlation between the reduction of smokers and the increase in obesity?

Id agree if the risks and lack of research was freely shared because then people can make informed decisions. As it is people are not, the vulnerable such as children and people of low intelligence will be influenced by the adverts and the media. This is not an informed choice.

Don't you still have to be 18 to buy vape products? Are people really informed about their health? Cuz my family is fuckin fat and they don't want to hear anything about it. They give no fucks

Where should I place my vape in the car? (not cupholders)

I'm sure you do have to be legally 18 to buy them. And I am sure I have never seen 14 year old kids smoking.. Honest.

If people still choose to inhale noxious chemicals after being given enough info to make an informed choice then that's their problem. But packaging up poison in near boxes is harsh. Same is true for booze. I drink beer despite knowing it's no good for me, but I do so in moderation.

No... they will reproduce before they die. Thereby sealing our evolutionary fate. The gap in intelligence and physicality well continue to get larger until we have 3 races if subhumans... super smart scrawny people, super beefy cut people, and the fat dumb plebs... who still smoke.
