No no no... What toyota needs to do is shut down scion and focus on TRD we need something for all us cult guys to follow, we need our "M" badge and its about damn time too.

My FI car spins its wheels easily and wants to fish tail if I don't feather the throttle. Cant see Toyota making a stock car that behaves like that. As it is people are smashing these cars left and right. There would need to be the provision for much wider wheels especially in the rear and much better stock tires. Also a big sway bar in the back and in the end I am not sure how a car that started out at $25 K will sell in the $40K range.
If there was sufficient market to justify development then people would want a new ground up model, not something intended to be an affordable sports car. We are so lucky there is so much aftermarket support for this platform. You can make it a $75K beast if you want to. This car is a unicorn in the market, even a giant like Toyota couldn't pull it off without colaboration. Lexus builds a sports coupe already, big heavy and luxurious like a Lexus. The Also have built a super car. I guess some people just don't understand a niche market and how delicate the economics are for these cars in this day and age.
